My name is Kate Baker and I’m the Head Trainer and Owner of Barking Mad Dog Training.

Based in Melbourne and servicing Melbourne and surrounding suburbs.

FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS IN DOG BEHAVIOUR & TRAINING AND CANINE NUTRITION:

1. Cert III Dog Training & Behaviour - NDTF (National Dog Training Federation) 2011**

2. Certificate in Canine Nutrition - CASI (Companion Animal Science Institute) 2018

3. Raw Food Specialist - DNU (Dogs Naturally University) 2019

I worked as a class instructor for many years alongside qualified and very experienced working dog trainers gaining valuable education.

With my girls Java & Magic.

My passion is puppies and starting them correctly to develop into stable, confident and independant dogs.

I take an holistic approach to training that considers the dog's physical and psychological needs but also includes what the owners need. It is critical to apply the correct approach for the individual dog and situation and get a positive result that makes a difference.

I have competed in ANKC Obedience, Rally, Tracking and Track & Search with my Rottweilers. One of my dogs was an accredited Therapy Dog through Dogs Victoria and worked as a Reading Buddy for Brimbank Council.

I also hold a current Working with Children card.
